The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit focused on cleaning plastic pollution in oceans and rivers, deployed its Interceptor technology in Bangkok, Thailand.

• This Interceptor Original aims to intercept plastic waste before it reaches the ocean by capturing it in heavily polluted rivers.
• The goal is to remove tons of plastic waste from leaking into the Gulf of Thailand.
• This project is part of The Ocean Cleanup’s larger mission to eliminate 90% of floating ocean plastic pollution by 2040.
• Interceptor 019 in Thailand represents a step towards achieving this goal by stopping plastic pollution at its source in rivers.
